API Keys

Key types

Each partner has two types of keys:

Key	Prefix	Usage
Test	`sk_test_`	Integration and testing — simulated data, no real operations
Live	`sk_live_`	Production — real operations, ops balance debited

Go to partner.kemycard.com and sign in with your partner account.

Navigate to the API section

In the sidebar, click API Keys.

Generate a key

Click Generate new key and choose the type (test or live).

Copy your key

The key is displayed only once. Copy it and store it securely (environment variables, secret manager).

Never share your API keys. Never commit them in your source code. Always use environment variables.

Add the Authorization header to every request:

You can revoke a key at any time from the dashboard. Once revoked, any request using that key will return a 401 AUTHENTICATION_FAILED error.

Each key gives access to the products included in your subscription:

The /customers and /balance endpoints are accessible with any active subscription, as customers are the foundation of all products.
